Petrol price to increase

South Africans have been dealt another blow to the pocket.

The price of petrol will increase by six cents per litre. With residents still furious over the National Energy Regulator of South Africa's(Nersa)decision to give into Eskom's price hike demands, they will have to content with paying more of petrol.

Petrol price drops

Motorists and consumers can breathe a sigh of relief after all grades of petrol prices dropped by three cents a litre on Wednesday this week.

The wholesale price of diesel with a 0,05 percent sulphur content will rise by eight cent a litre and diesel with 0,005 percent sulphur content by six cents a litre. However, paraffin consumers can expect a rise of illuminating paraffin by 13 cents a litre and the national price for illuminating paraffin will increase by 17 cents a litre. According to media reports the Department of Mineral and Energy said in the past moth the average international product prices of petrol, diesel and illuminating paraffin increased.

Manager for Space City garage in Verulam Vishant Singh said the drop of petrol price will not make a difference to the consumers.
